History
Terry Ruettiger and Dennis Tonelli formally launched the company
in 1979. It was a challenging time economically for the start
of any new
venture. With a vision for the future and confidence in their own
potential, as well as in Will County, Ruettiger and Tonelli
plunged ahead and began their Surveying Services
business.
In response to client demand, the Surveying Services business grew
and evolved over the years to include the Strategic addition of Practice
Areas. Civil Engineering was the first additional Practice Area, and
a branch office was opened in Naperville in the early ‘80’s.
The rapid increase in regional and local Land Development required
the integration of Engineering with open space planning and design
for residential
subdivisions, as well as for commercial and industrial projects. Federal,
State, and local government clients continued to grow and expand.
GIS Consulting, Land Planning, Landscape Architecture and Natural
and Environmental
Services were major additional Practice Areas that further enhanced
and completed the Portfolio of Services offered to the business community.
Ruettiger, Tonelli & Associates, Inc. has now created an environment
where each Practice Area now interlocks with, informs, and supercharges
the others.

history here, our local knowledge and insight, and familiarity with
ordinances throughout the entitlement process in anticipation of all
